How to make the most of networking events
It is getting to be late summer (how!?) and there is lots of networking going on right now! I've seen ads for some really interesting looking events coming up - I wish I could get to them all!
What do you do when prepping for a networking event? You may already be doing some of the following prep tips, but I'm curious.... what else works for you?
🔅 Understand what kind of networking event is this? Why did I choose to spend my time here? Know your 'why' and be able to articulate it concisely.
🔅 Consider who am I likely to find here, and what kinds of questions do I want to ask to get the most out of the event?
🔅 Think about what questions might others ask me? How can I be prepared to answer their questions? Not with a script, but general points to keep in mind.
🔅 How can I help someone else here? We all have something to give to support others, even if that isn't the first thing that comes to mind.
